He was a member of the Board of Directors of New Avenues for Youth for over ten years, and assisted the Boys and Girls Aid in the acquisition of its Hillsboro, Oregon facility. Alan currently serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Citizens Crime Commission.
